Supported formats
Your browser decodes the video's audio track, so supported formats depend on the browser. MP4 (AAC audio), MOV and WebM work in Chrome, Edge and Firefox; Safari handles MP4 and MOV. If a file won't open, try another browser.
Private by design
The audio is decoded and encoded to MP3 on your device using your browser and the open-source LAME encoder. The video is never uploaded.
Only use content you have rights to
Extract audio from your own videos or ones you have permission to use. This tool doesn't download from YouTube or other sites.
