What's free
Canva Free includes the editor, a large library of templates, photos and graphics, and 5 GB of storage. You can try Canva's AI tools (text writing, image generation and editing) with a limited monthly allowance shared across features. Canva renamed and expanded its AI suite in 2026, so exact feature names on the free plan may change.
What Pro adds
Canva Pro (about $15/month or $120/year for one person in the US) unlocks the background remover, Magic resize, premium templates and stock, brand kits, and a much larger AI allowance. Students and teachers can get Canva for Education free, and nonprofits can apply for free Pro.
